Integrated Stewardship Office Data Management – An Introduction

In this 1-day workshop, Lands and Stewardship office technical staff and managers will learn the basics of using Cedar Apps to manage data of three types: heritage, development and ecosystems. Staff will learn how core concepts including: why we work hard on data management (including an overview of the Rights & Title context), data redundancy (never lose again), data organization principles, paying it forward, unite and conquer, life-long learning, work smarter, and giving back to community.

Stewardship Officer Data Management Level I

In this 4-day workshop, Lands and Stewardship office technical staff and managers will learn the basics of using Cedar Apps to manage data of three types: heritage, development and ecosystems. You will and respond to project applications including Crown referrals.

Stewardship Officer Data Management Level II

In this 4-day workshop, community Heritage Researchers will delve deeper into both of the facets of Stewardship Office data management: collect better, mobilize better.

Heritage Researcher Data Management Level I

In this 4-day workshop, community Heritage Researchers will learn the basics of procedures for Heritage data collection, management and mobilization.

Heritage Researcher Data Management Level II

In this 4-day workshop, community Heritage Researchers will refine their skills at expert interviews, interview data processing, cataloging documents, researching documents, and building a community map.

GIS Data Management for Cedar Apps Level I

In this 2-day workshop, Stewardship Office GIS staff will learn core GIS procedures, patterns, recipes and methods for building and maintaining a GIS database to support a wide range of Stewardship Office requirements, including wall map generation, referrals analysis, and heritage research support. Methods for linking Cedar Apps GIS layers with desktop GIS will be introduced.
