Project description: The Coastal and Oceans Resources Analysis Laboratory (CORAL) at the Department of Geography, University of Victoria is a CFI-funded research unit led by Prof. Rosaline Canessa, The GIS research Lab is a shared geographic information science research space, home to roughly 6 GIS Masters and PhD researchers. The units focuses on marine protected areas and integrated coastal management, including developing approaches and techniques for sound management and assessing the effectiveness of marine protected areas (MPAs) and coastal plans in meeting established objectives.
Charles’ Role I provided technical planning and training for the physical laboratory build, which included an immersive Visualization Wall and 3 touch-table multi-user mapping interface pods for collaborative GIS research
